Sing Me a Lullaby

The night is cold, sing me a lullaby.
Forlorn is the state I'm in,
For gone you are where I can't follow.
I'm all alone, sing me a lullaby.
I drown in an abyss of sorrow, deeper and deeper.
Waiting for you to vanquish all my fears.
Hold me in your arms, don't let me go.
My head needs your lap, my temple craves your kiss.
In our freemasonry as sufferers, I try to feel as you had to

You had to suffer from death,
I have to suffer from you.
I refrain from looking into your eyes,
They don't speak anymore like they did.
Why? The conundrum grows in my head.
I keep repeating the question, to make myself clear.
Alas, I forget pictures neither speak nor hear.
I look at the skies, to curse the god that failed,
Wishing my tears don't fall, they crash on his throne.
By virtue of the savage wind, he responds in kind,
Chills me to the bones, and burns my insides.
